The Green Blades Garden Club was organized in 1952 and federated in 1958 with National Garden Clubs, Inc. and The Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc., District 1.
We're a philanthropic and educational organization for the encouragement and development of gardening, conservation, and beautification for the community and the individual.
Active membership involves making a personal commitment to support the club through participation in club projects and monthly meetings. Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month from September through May.
Current membership includes 28 Active Members, 5 Associate Members, and 19 Sustaining Members.
It takes many chairpersons and members to complete the Biennial Home
Tour and the many projects listed in the right panel. For membership
information please send an email to
Callie Smith.
Our club flower is the Iris, and our club colors are yellow and purple.
